Nature on your doorstep in August

August iNaturalist challenge

Submit pictures to our iNaturalist project of butterflies, moths and caterpillars from your garden and favourite green spaces. At the end of the month, we’ll be able to see on our project map where different types of butterfly have been spotted .

This month’s tip

Let parts of your garden grow wild with long grass - this can increase butterfly numbers by up to 93%!

Butterfly Conservation’s The Big Butterfly Count

It runs until 10 August. You’ll need some sun, a green space, 15 minutes and a downloaded ID chart.
